Music is strange, magical, inspiring, depressing and a lot other things.

Today, one of my friends put his status on Facebook as, "Music makes a happy person happier and a sad person sadder". I totally agree with him. At least in my case, music impacts me in a similar way. When i'm happy and I listen to music, I feel more elated and contended. When I am sad, most of the songs make me sadder.

Today I was a lost in thoughts, depressed about something and I started playing Agam's 'Live Again' sung by Shreya Ghoshal. Must be the tune or her voice that accelerated my thoughts, suddenly my eyes became watery and tears started rolling down. For a minute or so, the song made me so sad that I stopped playing it. I'm not good at Hindi, but I understand that 'Live Again' is an inspirational song. But it didn't help me.

I'm not complaining about the song here. It's good. Excellent, in fact. I'm only trying to convey how songs can make me more happier or sadder. It has got nothing to do with the lyrics, at least for me. It's all in the tune for me. Some tunes touch my heart that I become so emotional and my emotions at that particular moment accelerate and explode. I don't really enjoy it when music makes me sad but I love the fact that I'm so connected to it and that music is so integrated in me.

Music is strange, magical, inspiring, depressing and a lot other things.
